Lies and Deceptions

Author(s): Kenneth Harrison

Gay & Bi Male Erotic Fiction

With a fast paced book reminiscent of a sex and shopping novel, Kenneth Harrison gives us the story of gay and straight people living in a small New England city. Lies and Deceptions follows three couples through the final months of the year 2000 as they attend parties, gossip about one another and wade through all the deceptions that come with the search for love.

As with many of Harrison’s stories, nothing is quite what it seems. A controlling misogynist comes off looking like the perfect gentleman, a self loathing stalker is seen as a rejected lover, and some of the nicest men are viewed as enemies. The central characters are: Dale, a Madonna obsessed hairdresser whose ex-boyfriend is stalking him; Iris, an interior designer who tries to convince herself that she is in love with Ian, but is really in love with Andrew; Jay: a college student who has to lie about his age to keep his present boyfriend from dumping him. Can these three people find love while wading through the lies they tell one another and themselves?
