Life, Love & Everything

Author(s): Philippa Sue Richardson

Poetry

I began writing this book in 2011 when I was living with my mother and step father in Rosny, Tasmania. My high school art teacher loved my poems, so I continued writing poems in my spare time. My technique varies and is totally freelance. I don't always use a set structure, sometimes I use verse or rhyme. I enjoy the freedom of writing poetry as there are no real rules. This book reflects my life experiences, from the mundane to significant events. I have drawn inspiration from reading, the dictionary is my best friend.

Product Information

I spent 20years growing up in Blacktown, Western Sydney. We all studied English at school and it was one of my favourite subjects. My reading habits were sporadic. In 2006 I moved with my mother and step father to Tasmania. I felt like I had been exiled and found it difficult to make friends. I studied at TAFE and at University. In 2011 I decided I wanted to have a career in the Events Industry. January 2012 at age 25 I moved out of home and into a 3 bedroom unit in Melbourne. I found casual work and continued to compile a collection of poems.
