Julio Medem's first English language film unfolds over 12 hours in a hotel room during a Roman summer. Two young women - Alba and Natasha - meet and share a passionate night together full of intimate secrets. In the morning they go their separate ways Alba to Spain and Natasha to Russia. The night they have had together is magical and sensual where new feelings are awakened and acknowledged. This new experience however does not replace the ongoing love they feel for their respective partners - in Alba's case a mother of two; in Natasha's the man she is due to marry in one week's time. As with his other films Medem explores sexual desire in this loose adaptation of Matias Bize's 'In the Bed'- En la cama.
